Hurricane Milton's Tornado Problem

Not that we need worse news as dangerous Hurricane Milton approaches, but I'm rather alarmed at the potential for rotating storms in the outer bands prior to landfall. An outbreak of tornadoes appears possible across central and southern Florida on Wednesday, October 9th.

As the center of Hurricane Milton approaches the Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday afternoon, the favorably sheared front-right quadrant will overspread a volatile, unstable environment across the southern half of Florida, with a diffuse baroclinic zone across central Florida. Thermal and wind shear profiles are extremely supportive of supercells and tornadoes.

I fear we may see several bands of rotating thunderstorms producing tornadoes / damage across central and southern Florida prior to official landfall of Milton.
