We are so back.
The Chicago Cubs begin their 2024 campaign visiting the 2023 World Series Champs, the Texas Rangers, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX. They'll be greeted by a big World Series banner ceremony, as well as a brand new playing surface. Luckily, they'll also be greeted by some pretty great, if not windy, weather. Temps start Thursday in the 70s, bumping up to 80s for Saturday & Sunday.
As you can see, the story will be some gusty south winds out to left field. I would anticipate the roof will be open for all three games. Humidity will be on the increase, but stops just shy of becoming uncomfortable. Thursday night in particular will be a gem, but all three games will be very, very attendable.
The Cubs will get the most out of the weather in the Lone Star State before the first home series of the year hosting Kris Bryant and the Rockies. More on that this weekend.
Here we go...after 4 years of rebuilding, the Cubs should be on their way to a winning season. Let's get some Ws early. Schedule: Thursday @ 6:35pm CT | Saturday 6:05pm | Sunday 1:35pm
